The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) is developing Bharat NCAP 2.0, an upgraded version of India's car safety assessment program. Set to launch by late 2027, the new version will include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as a key component in its safety evaluations. This update aims to assess how ADAS features can be customized to suit Indian road conditions. The evolution of India's crash testing program reflects the growing importance of advanced safety technologies in vehicles. Bharat NCAP 2.0 will provide consumers with more comprehensive safety ratings, encouraging manufacturers to incorporate and improve ADAS features in their vehicles.
