China has officially extended anti-dumping duties on imports of ortho-dichlorobenzene (ODCB) from Japan and India for another five years, effective January 23, 2025. The Ministry of Commerce made the announcement after a sunset review showed that lifting the duties would cause damage to the domestic industry in China. Japanese companies will continue to face a hefty 70.4% duty, while Indian firms will be subject to a 31.9% duty. This aims at protecting local producers from the exploitation of the chemical market.
