Maharashtra to Honor Shivaji Maharaj with Memorial in Agra

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced plans to acquire land in Agra for a memorial dedicated to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The memorial will be located at Meena Bazaar, where the Maratha king was once held captive by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Fadnavis, who made the announcement during a visit to Agra for Shivaji Maharaj's 395th birth anniversary, stated that the memorial would attract more visitors than the Taj Mahal. The Chief Minister also said he would discuss the land acquisition with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
