The Tamil Nadu Government Railway Police (GRP) has implemented comprehensive measures to enhance women's safety on trains. A new alarm system will be installed in women's compartments, allowing passengers to quickly alert authorities in emergencies. Additionally, GRP personnel will now board and check women's compartments at every stop during night hours. These initiatives come in response to recent incidents of sexual assault attempts on moving trains. The security upgrade also includes deploying Facial Recognition Systems (FRS) at railway stations and increasing overall patrolling. These multi-faceted efforts aim to create a safer travel environment, particularly for women passengers across Tamil Nadu's railway network.
